You should look into several books if you want a quick guide to meditating or a full-fledged book of tips. These include Andy Puddicombe's "How to Meditate," Jon Kabat-"The Zin's Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment," and Bonnie Myotai Treace's "The Book of Secrets."


"The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment" by Jon Kabat-Zinn

Jon Kabat-Zinn, the founder of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Clinic and Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, is no stranger to mindful meditation. He has written over 30 books, received numerous awards, and teaches mindfulness in a variety of settings around the world. The Power of Now is excellent for readers of all skill levels.


Based on Kabat's research, Zinn's book contains the following:

  • The art of self-observation.

  • The best meditation practices.

"How to Meditate" by Andy Puddicombe

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned meditator, the Headspace Guide to Meditation will teach you the fundamentals of meditation; the series highlights the various meditation techniques with the help of Andy Puddicombe. It explains how to concentrate on breathing, body scans, and stress management techniques.

Headspace is a meditation app downloaded over 31 million times worldwide. The app is intended to make meditation more straightforward and accessible. Headspace, a popular mindfulness training app, also provides a guided meditation series.

Puddicombe was involved in the early stages of Headspace's development. Puddicombe sought the assistance of a meditation teacher after struggling to achieve silence and mental stillness. Puddicombe's teacher was a Himalayan Buddhist monk.

Chade-Meng Tan, a former Google employee and adjunct professor at the National University of Singapore, explains how meditation can change your life and why you should try to do so consciously. He also tells you that the meditation method is appropriate for you and provides you with plenty of free advice on making the transition.

Tan has made a name for himself as a Google employee by promoting mindfulness and the best practices he's learned along the way. He is also a philanthropist and co-chair of One Billion Acts of Peace, a group of 13 Nobel laureates working to promote global peace.
